It is not the first time I have photographed weddings at Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club, but each time I always find new, stunning backdrops for my couple shots. Having met the bride and groom and some of their lovely family members before, I was especially looking forward to Sophia and Finlay’s wedding.
The wedding venue
If you have been following me for a while, you know I love and appreciate the architecture of Sussex’s finest wedding venues. So this neo-Gothic Grade II listed mansion surrounded by calm, blue lakes, lush manicured lawns, and ancient woodlands definitely inspired me.

The day itself ran so smoothly and was filled with love and smiles. Sophia and Finlay looked the picture of health and happiness on the day, which I hope has been reflected in the images. The summer gardens provided the perfect backdrop and added a vibrant splash of colour to many of the couple shots. I also enjoyed the intimate moments away from the crowd with the water from the fountain framing their kiss.
Sophia & Finlay, what a memorable occasion. I truly loved working with you both and I hope you enjoy the pictures from your special day. Here’s wishing you a wonderful life together and bundles of happiness. So happy for you guys, love Ria xx
