Castle Goring wedding
The historic venue full of charm
Haruna and Toby were certainly in good company for their Castle Goring wedding. Before them came Shelley, the romantic poet’s grandfather, then Mary Shelley the writer and also author Colin Campbell. “The most romantic Castle in the land” was the first house ever built with a dual façade and has the oldest and largest dome in a private residence in the country. It was Haruna and Toby’s for the day and it provided the perfect setting for their big day.
The Castle Goring wedding ceremony was made even more special with the San-San-Kudo Japanese ritual, that involves the exchange of sake between the bride and groom, symbolising their union and the blending of their families.

Thank you Haruna and Toby for sharing your special day with me. The banana Kit Kat went down like a treat btw :-). I leave you with a couple of lines from Zak’s lovely speech, who quoted Wilfred Arlan Peterson’s The Art of Marriage. It summed up the love and connection between two wonderful people and two wonderful families:
“It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is doing the things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice,
but in the spirit of joy.”
