Why I love shooting weddings at Langshott Manor

Langshott Manor weddings at the 16th Century English Manor House are always an exclusive setting for a grand wedding. Sally and Colin’s spring wedding back in 2018 was no exception. The Grade II listed hotel, which was home to many wealthy families over the last 500 years still holds many of its original features including beautifully exposed beams, working fireplaces and grand windows.

Bridal prep

As soon as I arrived at this 4 star luxury wedding venue I was in my element. Firstly, I took the architectural shots of the restored redbrick-and-timber property. Then I met the girls who were getting ready for the big day. The wood panelling provided a timeless feel to the detailed portrait shots during the bridal preparations. I think even Rembrandt would have approved of the light and the setting 🙂

Likewise the couple shots in the manicured garden amongst the Surrey Hills provided many options. My favourite image was taken under outdoor aisle adorned with vines. Sally and Colin were confident and relaxed during the shot.  Their happiness came through beautifully in the pictures and the English garden in spring provided perfect a vibrant backdrop. The colours were so vivid but I also enjoyed the the warm, hazy glow of the sun. It gave a nice light to the pictures and worked equally as well for the black and white shots.
