Brighton beach wedding

As one of the professional Sussex wedding photographers from Eastbourne I have the pleasure to photograph regularly on the breathtaking South Coast. The sunny beach wedding of Tom & Jess’ at the Mercure Brighton hotel was one of them. 

Brighton reception at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel wedding

Both the wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Mercure Brighton Hotel which is just a pebble throw away from Brighton beach. I arrived nice and early to photograph the bride getting ready with the bridal party. I always like to capture the bride’s shoes as it’s such a special item for the bride. Here I pictured one of my favourite bridal shoe shots. It was thanks to a simple and symmetrical image. It had a glass bubbly in-between and the wedding ring on the long heel. I love it!

Bride and Groom photos

We used the Brighton Bandstand for the couple shots and for the group shots of the wedding party. Half the images were also taken on the beach. For these I was in my usual position. I was on the floor. Capturing great angles with the old pier in the background. These are some of my favourite images as I really feel the pebbles, deck chairs and pier captures the essence of a Sussex wedding on the seafront – all we needed was some fish and chips :-).
