Alfriston Gardens has the perfect backdrop for your romantic wedding and with floating drapes, twinkling chandeliers, stunning flowers, dry ice and sparkles it really was a remarkable fairytale wedding for Selina and Phil.
Persian ceremony
The Persian ceremonial traditions have been practiced for thousands of years. The sofreh aghd is a wedding ceremony spread with symbolic items where the traditions are exchanged:
- Sugar, rubbed over the couple to bring in more sweetness.
- The mirror, symbolising light and purity.
- The candelabras, representing clarity and energy.
- Honey signifying sweetness. (After the ceremony the bride and groom each dip their pinky finger in the cup and feed the honey to each other.)
