I love, love, love winter weddings. There is something magical about them. The soft lights, the pastel colours, the beautiful early sunsets. Oh, and some snow if you are lucky, which will rival any sun-kissed summer snapshots. Having said that, I have photographed many weddings – some featured here – on bright sunny days. No wonder more and more couples are opting for luxurious winter weddings.
On the lead up to Christmas, everyone gets into the festive spirit, ready to party. However, if you prefer a late winter wedding in January or February, your loved ones will have something to look forward to after the festive period and long winter days. Everyone is a winner!
To contrast these soft colours you can also opt for rich, royal colours for your decorations. Pine cones, foliage, hollies, soft candle lights are great for centre pieces while fairy lights and sparkles are ideal for outside shots.
